Monique Wiseman is a proud Aboriginal woman with more than 20 years’ experience working across the homelessness and community services sector. Throughout her career, Monique has been a strong advocate for culturally safe service delivery, workforce wellbeing, and the development of Aboriginal-led practice frameworks within mainstream and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.

Monique has established and led the development of cultural and operational framework for various organisations across NSW, guiding the service from initial concept through to implementation, growth and sector engagement. Her work has focused on embedding culturally grounded practice, strengthening Aboriginal workforce capability, and supporting organisations to better understand the cultural load carried by Aboriginal staff working in frontline roles.

Monique is passionate about creating safe, supported and sustainable workplaces for Aboriginal staff and has been instrumental in developing practical cultural supervision models tailored to the SHS sector. Monique has also established successful partnership in the Ally Sector to better support and retain Aboriginal Staff within Mainstream Organisations.
